A colony of researchers has claimed an abandoned world for their sliding studies, resulting in some of the most powerful transdimensional breakthroughs you'll ever see.

The world the Facility is situated on was abandoned by its (supposedly slide-capable) civilization about 20 years ago when they determined the sun was close to going nova. Enter the scientists of the Facility, whose advanced technological abilities allowed them to neutralize the sun's instability. These scientists are also responsible for the creation of the Archive, which is dedicated to chronicling as many earth's histories as possible.

The Facility, run by scientist Alexander Chaplin, invites any and all slide-capable humans who encounter this world to stay and improve their technology through information exchange. As a result, thousands of doubles of some of the multiverse's premier scientists study here.

In 2000, a massive spatial rift tore a huge chunk of this world from its native dimension and anchored it elsewhere. It was only through the perseverance of the scientists working in tandem with MultiDim that the world has been re-integrated, with new testing policies in place.

This world welcomes only those who discover it through their invention of sliding. Tourism is discouraged as all available housing is used to house the hundreds of thousands of doubles who work and study here.
