The fourth season premire of Sliders on the Sci-Fi Channel has been sloted for Monday, June 8, 1998, but "Best Of" repeat episodes will air beginning Monday, March 2, 1998 on Sci-Fi at 9 pm (est).Fourteen "best of" episodes will be shown, beginning with the "Pilot."
2) What if we don't get Sci-Fi Channel?
Call your cable company and demand that you get it attached to your cable package. If your cable company doesn't carry Sci-Fi then another option is to buy a digital satellite dish. If neither of those options are available to you, I'm afraid you may be out of luck. :-(

3) Is the cast returning?
Officially, Jerry O'Connell (Quinn Mallory), Cleavant Derricks (Rembrandt Brown) and Kari Wuhrer (Maggie Beckett) will all return for season four -- unfortunately Sabrina Lloyd (Wade Welles) has left the show and will be replaced by Charlie O'Connell (Jerry's real-life, actor-model younger brother) who will play Quinn's brother, Colin, from an alternate reality. John Rhys-Davies (Prof. Arturo) will not return for a guest appearance during the next season. Also, Co-Creator/Exec. Consultant Tracy Torme and producer Alan Barnette have left the program altogether to concentrate on other projects.
3.1) Why Did Executive Producer Tracy Torme leave the show?
Tracy Torme left the show at the end of season two partially because his father, Mel, had just had a stroke and partially because he wasn't happy with what the Fox Network wanted to do with the show. He remained Exec. Producer for the first half of the third season (he also wrote "The Guardian") and then left mid-season to concentrate on other things. Though he remains "Executive Consultant" for the life of the series, he has basically split for good. Tracy recently began working on an ABC Mid-season sci-fi drama called "Prey" but split that scene for some unknown reason. Now he's working on an MTV comedy series he created called "Kung Pow," which fits well with his background as a former writer for Saturday Night Live and SCTV. He has also co-written the upcoming film "I Am Legend." You'll be happy to know that his father is doing much better and hopes to return to singing soon.
3.2) What else has Charlie O'Connell been in?
Charlie has limited acting experience except to say that he has appeared in a few theatrical productions, on the soap opera "Guiding Light" and in the Sliders episodes "As Time Goes By" (as Kit Richards) and "Dragonslide" (as Officer O'Hara).
3.3) Why did Sabrina Lloyd leave the show?
Well, the official word from both camps say that "Sabrina felt it was time to move on." However, internet rumor persists that Sabrina was forced out of the show by producers and actress Kari Wuhrer. Now, this is not confirmed -- it's simply gossip -- and I hold no grudge against Ms. Wuhrer or Ms. Lloyd.
3.4) How will Wade Welles leave the show?
Because Sabrina Lloyd opted out of her contract before production on Season Four began, there will be no scenes wrapping up her departure. Although it's probable that an opening storyline will have Wade kidnapped by the Kromagg race.
3.5) Why did Executive Producer Robert K. Weiss leave the show?
Well, Robert Weiss left the show after year one to focus on his production company St. Claire Entertainment (he's the president). He and Tracy Torme created Sliders and Bob does try to keep up with the comings and goings of the show -- then again, he's heavily into St. Claire's newest production "Honey I Shrunk the Kids: The Series" (no kidding.)
4) So, what's in store for season four?
Lots of things:

5) Will Sliders be available in Canada?

U.K. -- Can be seen on Sky One starting April 20, 1998. That will mean that folks in the UK will see the new season of Sliders before anyone else in the world.
Also in the U.K., Sliders can be seen on BBC2, which is currently carrying Season Two episodes on Wednesdays at 6:45 pm -- although sports shows may pre-empt Sliders. -- Thanks to Wayne Horan for the info.
Ireland -- Airing Sundays on Network 2. -- Thanks to Wayne Horan for the info.
Australia --
Can be seen on Channel Ten, but "no firm date has been
set. They have said however that it can only air once it has been shown
in the U.S. Based on last years episodes we were only about 3 - 4 weeks
behind." -- Barry Skewes.
Russia --
Sliders has just been shown on the 'STS' channel. "The first part of the 'Pilot' was aired on November 17, 1997, and the final episode 'The Slide Of Paradise' was aired on January 22, 1998. The episodes ... were aired 5 days a week (on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thirsday and Friday) except December 5th (friday). -- Armen Eltchian.
France --
While the show is not currently on here, it "will return "during 1998" (according to M6 channel) probably with reruns and
brand new episodes (we haven't seen "This Slide of Paradise", "Stoker"
and "The Breeder" that the channel believes they are too violent (!))" One episode that was initially held back however, Sole Survivors, finally went to air on Feb. 21, 1998. As of 4/9, Benoit Cros reports that The Breeder will air April 14. -- Thanks to Sandra and Philippe Menu for the info.
South Africa -- Sliders is shown Mondays at 5:00 pm, on SABC 2 (South Africa BroadCast). The episodes, however, are shown out of order. For example on 2/2/98, "Obsession" was aired, and it followed "As Time Goes By" which was aired the week before. -- Thanks to Danny for the info.
Germany -- Sliders began airing Sunday, Nov. 2 on RTL Television. Episodes are in German, but can be viewed throughout various parts of Europe and into Africa. The airings began with the pilot (ca. 90 min.) in prime-time "at 8:15 pm and over 4 million viewers have watched the show, which is very successful!" Further episodes will air Sundays at 3:10 pm. RTL "has bought 46 episodes." As of 4/9, the second season had finished airing and it was slated to continue in four weeks -- Thanks to Kenan Zahirovic, Paul Jennings, and Thomas Wollersheim and Wayne Horan for the info.
Netherlands -- Sliders is broadcast on 'Veronica,' Fridays at 18:00. "We're currently (2/18/98) about six to seven episodes into season three, but we can also watch it on the BBC and RTL+ thanks to the wonders of cable," says Pieter-Jan Kuyten, thanks for the info.
Argentina -- Sliders (or Deslizadores as it's called) in shown on 'USA Networks' during its 'Saturdays of Sci-fi' promotion. Episodes air every Saturday at 8:00pm (9:00pm in the South). "They have been showing seasons one and two since 1995 ... repeating the same episodes over and over again. The must have shown the Pilot like five or six times," says Martin Sivero. Thanks for the info, Martin.
Canada -- The Can/West Global Television Network will air the fourth season of Sliders sometime in either June or July 1998. Space: The Imagination Station is currently in negotiations to air the entire slate of Sliders reruns later this year or early in 1999.
United States --
The cable Sci-Fi Channel began broadcasting epeat episodes on March 2, 1998 and then will begin the new season of 22 episodes on Mon. June 8.
Please e-mail me with any additions, corrections or updates. Thanks.
6) Where can I get old Sliders episodes on tape?
Please note that I will not trade or sell my tapes of the episodes. For those with a lot of patience, Sci-Fi Channel is scheduled to air all 48 previous Sliders episodes in rerun form beginning in January of 1999.
There was a fella on the internet named Rob Satonica who made tapes for people but he as been shut down as of 1/21/98.
You might try the various Sliders Boards (check the links). Also, tomservo@thegrid.net says that he has every episode on tape and would gladly share the wealth with other fans. There are two rules, however: "1) To stay out of trouble, I will not accept any money for the tapes," he says. "You can either arrange a trade with me, or simply send me a tape along with a self-addressed stamped envelope, and I will [make the copy], and mail it back. 2) No more than two episodes per tape, and no more than one tape per address per week."
Please e-mail him privately to work out the details.
7) Can I use some of your information on my own Sliders page?
My standard policy for allowing my info to be used on other pages is this:
1) The amount of info pulled must be reasonable -- ie, you can't take every episode from the episode guide.
2) The information must be credited in the introduction to the information (This must occur for *each* section you use) -- ie:
Sliders Nielsen Ratings by Season
Compiled by The Expert and used with permission.
3) There must be a link to my page attached to my name -- ie, the term The Expert above must contain a link back to my contents page.
4) You must ask permission to use each page -- ie, you can't just start pulling stuff off my site at random, if you want the Comic Books page in my Merchandise section you must ask to use it and if you want the Trading Cards page you must ask to use that also. This is so I know exactly what stuff I'm letting float out there and will help me keep track of info on other sites used without permission. In otherwords, if you have a couple of things you'd like, please list them.
5) If, after you've posted some of my information at your site, someone asks *you* if they can use it, you must refer them back to me.
Now, this may seem like a lot of rigamaroll for this but I think it's all fair. I've never been a stickler for letting people use my info, but the above rules ensure that I'm credited.
